Thrusday, December 21st, 2017

That day was our last day together so it was a special occasion to say “bye bye”. We have spent four years together so it was difficult for us say goodbye.




We went to a different class and we spent part of the class with the second course of our degree. Then we went to our normal class and the teacher explained us the exam and solved our doubts. Finally we were talking about our expectations and one of our classmate said a few words of farewell.

·        Rhymes - with specific concept, there is a specific topic

·         Limerick - crazy things.

That day we learnt about limericks. We did an activity which consisted in creating our own limerick.  

Why is it good or positive? Because…
- It´s like a song
- Rhythm helps you to learn new words.

This was my limerick:
There was a wonderful book,

that at home I used to look,

“read it” said my mother

“go out” said my father



But I decided to cook.

First of all that day we were seeing some of our classmate´s moodle task in order to know how to elaborate some of them.

Secondly we talked about Unit 5: Evaluation and how important is it. We learnt that evaluation means check and improve. Furthermore we learnt that as a teacher our main principle should be “yours success is my success”. This means that if any child has to repeat course we are doing a great job.



Finally we learnt when the external evaluation is: 3º and 6º primary, and 4º secondary.

That day we talked about diary class because we had some doubts. Furthermore we learnt about ITC and we visited a great web called:

Finally we did a questionnaire about teacher of XXI century and the teacher showed us our results. In addition we saw examples of infographic.

That day the teacher gave each group one chapter of "ENGLISH FOR PRIMARIY TEACHERS" by Mary Slattery & Jane Willis. Oxford University Press. 2001. Then we passed the rest of the class reading our chapter and preparing our presentation.

That day we continue talking about e-pel, and we review what we had learned the previous class.

Secondly we download Key Competences document. We had to read it for next day. Then the teacher explained us the syllabus program for the whole year and we saw and talked about CRA document.

That day we started task 1.5.1. and 1.5.4. CEFR and PEL in which we had to reflect about our level or reference taking into account the different skills. In addition we had to try to give evidences about how to get it.   

Secondly we reflected about two important questions:

- What is required in each level is informed in all academies?

- Are exams suitable for each level?


Finally we surfed the Internet finding this web: juntadeandalucia.es in which we saw children´s activities.

That day, in pairs, we had to find and compare the elements of the curriculum and the elements of a didactic unit.






To finish the class we read about Common European Framework of Reference (Spanish and English document), and we saw a Power Point about Portfolio.

That day we saw another Prezi in which we learnt about:

1. Interdisciplinary vision.

2. First foreign language curriculum.

- Learning foreign languages is especially relevant.
- Multicultural and multilingual context. When you learn a language you don’t only learn a language, you learn the culture and the context.

In the curriculum you can found this element: objectives, competencies, contents, teaching methodology, standards and assessable learning, assessment criteria.


In addition we had to an activity. To develop the activity we had to make pairs, the teacher gave us some children´s activities and we had to find competences in each activity. Finally we had to upload the activity to moodle.

We saw a Prezi about the Organic Law for the Improvement of Quality.

LOMCE is modifying LOE, but not in all the articles.

- The objectives:
1. More people obtain the degree
2. Promoting autonomy school - the school have the power
We learnt about The Primary Education Evaluation, twenty and twenty-one articles, which are the most important.


For homework we had to look for the three main underlying principles of the law and summarize the content in a mind map

I remember perfectly that day because we discussed about a really important question: 

What is needed to be a teacher?

Then we talked about education and we discussed about if changes in laws are good or bad, especially for students. Between other things in this lesson I learnt the meaning of welfare.

In general that day we talked about this three questions:

1. Do you think there is an ideal way to teach a foreign language?

2. Do you remember your foreign language lessons when you were at school? Can you tell us about them?

3. Do you think that the number of years you have studied a foreign language are in the line with your level of that foreign language?

Then we had to answer the questions giving our own opinion. Personally I really like this lesson because I think we learnt a lot of new vocabulary and content about foreign language and we learnt how speak about that.

That day the teacher did the presentation of the subject. First of all she introduced herself and then she asked some interesting question to know more about ourselves.  The previous year some of our classmate were out of Spain, in an Erasmus, so this exercise permitted know more about them.
